About CECDC

Higley Unified School District is proud to offer quality early learning programs in our state-of-the-art Early Childhood Development Centers on the campuses of Cooley and Sossaman Middle Schools, which opened in 2013.
Both Centers offer three Early Childhood programs to fit the interests and schedules of all families. Brilliant Beginnings is available for children ages 3-4. We will also offer a Kindergarten Prep program for children ages 4-5 and our Special Education Preschool program.

Classes are taught by certified early childhood educators.

Announcements

With Winter Break approaching, we would like to express our appreciation to all of our students and families for your continued support throughout this semester.

As a reminder,

  • All schools will be closed 30 minutes after their dismissal times on December 19th through January 2nd. School offices will reopen on January 5th and school will resume on Tuesday, January 6th.
  • The District Office will close at 2:00 PM on December 19th through January 1st, and will reopen on Friday, January 2nd.

We wish all of our students, families, and staff a safe and joyful holiday season! We look forward to seeing our students back in the classroom on Tuesday, January 6, 2025.

Enrollment is Open for the 2026-2027 School Year

The Higley Unified School District (HUSD) will open student enrollment and open enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year on December 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM. Families are encouraged to enroll early to secure placement at one of the district’s A-rated schools and to prepare for upcoming campus events designed to welcome new students.
